Quarterbacks – Waiver thread adds

Teddy Bridgewater (DEN)

Bridgewater and the Broncos rolled over to Dallas – and rolled over Dallas on Sunday, handily beating the heavily favored Cowboys, 30-16. Dallas struggled and Teddy B looked good, throwing for 249 yards and a touchdown without interceptions. It was good enough to finish Sunday as QB6 with a fantastic 21.9 points. Bridgewater is now on a two-game winning streak, and then he faces a team from Philadelphia who just gave Justin Herbert a fantastic 31.6 points. Bridgewater is available in 26% of leagues.

FAAB: 1%

Taylor Heinecke (WFT)

Heinecke has had strong fantastic starts (20 points or more) in four of the eight games played this year. This week, he gets a Tampa Bay team that has given up on average 24.4 fantasy points to opposing QBs. It is available in 91% of the leagues.

FAAB: 1%

Taysom Hill (NO)

We don’t know if Hill or Semien will start on Sunday, but we do know the game is favorable. The Titans have limited the Rams to Sunday Night Football, but Tennessee have allowed plenty of points this season. On average, the Titans allow opposing QBs 24.4 points, so I like Siemian or Hill there. I believe Hill is the safest game in the long run, and he’s the QB to hide in hopes he can return the value he made in weeks 11-13 of 2020. He’s now time to make a claim. It is available in 82% of the leagues.

Running Backs – Waiver thread adds

Devonta Freeman (BAL)

Freeman had his best fantastic start to the season with 16.3 PPR points on Sunday. He has now had three consecutive double-digit PPR starts. On Sunday, Freeman played 57 percent of the snaps, carrying the ball 13 times for 79 yards and catching three of his four targets for four yards and a touchdown. Without Latavius Murray, Freeman will likely continue to lead that crowded backfield and should be in the flexible conversation. Next, Baltimore faces a run defense from Miami that has given up an average of 24.6 PPR points per game to opposing backers. Freeman is available in 80% of the leagues.

FAAB: 6%

Jordan Howard (PHI)

And once again, Jordan Howard comes out of nowhere to trample the hearts of fantasy managers. This time, it was the managers of Boston Scott who suffered. Granted, it was a good game for the running game against the Chargers, but the three-headed monster that Philadelphia suddenly deploys without Miles Sanders is one I’m not sure we can fully understand. What we can see, however, is that Jordan Howard isn’t leaving anytime soon. Howard recorded 17 attempts for 71 yards and one touchdown and led that backfield on Sunday in a competitive game against the Chargers. Howard is available in 87% of the leagues, and while his clash this week against Denver isn’t great, with the landscape of the running back environment, he’s worth at least a bench hiding place.

FAAB: up to 6%

Ty Johnson (NYJ)

If you’re looking for someone to replace Mixon or Booker / Barkley in a PPR league this week, take a look at Ty Johnson. Johnson has now seen 16 targets and found the end zone twice in the last three games. We’re expecting Mike White to return this Sunday, and that should give that Jets offense a little boost, even in a tough clash with the Bills.

FAAB: 4%

Brandon Bolden (NE)

Bolden had a high 81 yards in scrimmage on Sunday. Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevens left the game late with head injuries, so Bolden could lead that backfield against the Browns on Sunday. The Browns have given up four touchdowns (tied for third in the league) to opposing backs, and the passing game is where Bolden can excel. He’s caught 22/24 targets this year, although he’s yet to find the end zone. Maybe that will change this weekend. It is available in 90% of the leagues.

Wide Receivers – Add Waiver Thread

Elijah Moore (NYJ)

Elijah Moore led the Jets wide receivers on Thursday, catching seven of his eight targets for 84 yards and two scores. Moore has been targeted 20 times in the last three games, and with Mike White / Josh Johnson in the middle, he’s been incredibly effective with 13 catches on 14 targets. It looks like as long as Zach Wilson doesn’t throw the ball at him, Moore should continue to be successful. It is available in 75% of the leagues.

FAAB: 8%

Donovan Peoples-Jones (CLE)

Peoples-Jones made that list for the second time this season after catching two of their three targets for 86 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Peoples-Jones played three fewer snaps and saw two fewer targets than Jarvis Landry, but he was a lot more efficient, and he seems like the guy who can play the OBJ role. Peoples-Jones is available in 87% of leagues.

FAAB: 7%

Tim Patrick (DEN)

The last time Tim Patrick appeared in this article I said I won’t tell you again, I lied. But I think so this time. Tim Patrick had his best game of the year, capturing four of his five targets for 85 yards and a touchdown against Dallas on Sunday, and he looked damn good doing it. Teddy B is finally healthy and the Broncos aren’t waving the white flag after Von Miller’s trade. Jerry Jeudy doesn’t look 100% yet, and Sutton will see some tough coverage. Please don’t make me put Tim Patrick back on this list. It is still available in 75% of the leagues.

FAAB: 7%

DeSean Jackson (LVR)

Granted, it’s a dart throw, but DeSean Jackson seems like the perfect replacement for Henry Ruggs in Las Vegas. The 34-year-old speedster proved he still had plenty of it in the tank when he was introduced for the Rams in Week 3 against Tampa Bay, catching three of his five targets for 120 yards and a score. The Raiders need this job, and maybe all Jackson needs is an opportunity. It is available in 96% of the leagues.

FAAB: 4%

Zach Pascal (IND)

Zach Pascal isn’t the sexiest name on the waiver thread, but he continues to see Carson Wentz targets without Parris Campbell and TY Hilton. Pascal has averaged seven targets per game over the last three games, and he’s seen more targets than Michael Pittman in two of the last three. He plays almost the same number of snaps as Pittman, and he’s someone you can flex for decent ground in deeper leagues if you need a week off or injury replacement. It is available in 95% of the fantasy leagues.

Tight Ends – Waiver Thread Adds

Ricky Seals-Jones (WFT)

Seals-Jones has played 100% offensive snaps in the football team’s last three games, and he’s seen 29 targets in the five games he’s started. That puts him third among receivers in Washington, behind only Terry McLaurin and JD McKissic. This week, the football team faces a Tampa Bay defense that has given up an average of 15.2 PPR points per game to the opposing tight ends. Seals-Jones is available in 84% of leagues.

FAAB: 6%

Tyler Conklin (MIN)

Conklin led the team in the receptions on Sunday and had their second straight game with seven targets. He overtook KJ Osborne as the team’s third receiving option, and this week he has a nice showdown against the Chargers, who allowed a 75% catch rate, the sixth-most yards per target. and the second highest number of yards per target. (10.09) at opposite tight ends. It is available in 62% of the leagues.

FAAB: 4%

Dan Arnold (JAX)

Dan Arnold has seen 30 targets in his last four games played, making him the second most targeted receiver in that offense during that time. He led the Jacksonville pass catchers on Sunday with 60 yards on seven targets, and he appears to be the one filling the role of absent DJ Chark. This week, he faces a Colts team that allowed a 77.5% capture rate and the second-highest number of PPR points at opposite tight ends. Arnold is available in 75% of the leagues.
